Once again – many thanks for a very well organised trip!
HOD Social Sciences
Gisborne Intermediate School School
As always Anne was well organised, supportive before and during our trip. Thank you for being available to our requests. Just a phone call away everytime. Thank you also for getting onto the issues that arose. I am happy to share my experience with REN with other teachers.
Appreciate the care and attention that was paid to our requests. Great communication and flexibility. Thank you so much for the time and effort that was put into our time in Rotorua! Amazing as always.
This is the third time we have used REN. A very good day out with the bonus of a visit toi NZ School of Tourism.
St Ursula’s College
Our trip was excellent and we valued having vouchers and brochures on arrival. All aspects went smoothly. Thanks Linda for your assistance with our bookings/changes over the 9 months leading up to our trip, we will definitely be doing this again!
St Mary’s Anglican Diocesan School
REN make the organisation of a tourism trip simple and stress free. Their itinerary met our Tourism course requirements prefectly and I would not hestitate to recommend REN to any school planning to run a tourism excursion to Rotorua.
Whangarei High School
I appreciate the reliable and excellent service Norton gives for our programme. Very competitive prices ensures Rotorua is affordable for our students. Lots of interesting things to do and all the activities are professionally managed.”
Director for International Students
An excellent, worthwhile trip that the students really enjoyed. Thanks for your help, it makes it so much easier to organise.
HOD Social Sciences
Anne was great and very patient, adjusting the itinerary and bookings as our group numbers kept changing.
The REN service is very much appreciated as are the discounted costs. The prompt friendly service is wonderful.
As always we are made to feel welcome and the programme gives all my students experience they have had before. For International students it is seeing the important aspects of NZ history and especially an understanding of Maori history, combned with experience activities they wouldn’t normally. For students of Tourism they get to experience a combination of Maori and Adventure Tourism and to see opportunities that would be available to them as a career choice.
Manager for International Students
Fantastic having all info readily available and arrangements made for us. I Will highly recommend your service ladies!
Director of International Students
REN’s organisation made the trip so much easier as a teacher. Having bookings made and vouchers delivered to the first attraction saved us valuable time. All email communications were punctual and informative. The prepared schedule was invaluable to leave at school so they knew where we were going and when. REN is an excellent organisation to deal with as teachers we are very lucky to have such a professional organisation assisting us.
Gisborne Boys High
Could not fault the service you’ve provided and the amazing co-ordination with providers. Thanks!!
Thank you so much for the opportunity to attend Skyline at a discounted cost. The group of students I work with come from poverty stricken backgrounds and would never usually be able to afford attending something like this. Our group wairua has definitely been nourished! Also them also being international students was a great way for me to showcase our backyard to these students. I understand that one student is expecting his overseas family to visit in December to celebrate the end of his studies and he has already told them that a visit to Rotorua and the luge is on the cards for them.
Auckland Geography Teachers Association (AGTA)
The Auckland Geography Teachers Association (AGTA) has been part of a contract since 2002 with the Rotorua Education Network to supply material for secondary teachers. This has consisted of the production of work sheets and resources that can be incorporated into the New Zealand curriculum and are therefore of use to all schools. It was felt that it was most beneficial to use current teachers for this work since they are more aware of the needs of schools and can meet such needs accordingly.
As a result 1 or 2 members of the AGTA committee have held this responsibility as their port folio. These members are expected to liaise closely with the Rotorua Education Network to ensure that material used remains current and update this as required. This often involves travelling to Rotorua and collecting information from the operators that are part of the network. Assessments have also been written to compliment these activities as by doing so many schools are more willing to take students on field trips.
The material produced on the website has been extensively used by teachers and has proved extremely popular. At the present time it covers essential parts of the Level 1, 2 and 3 syllabus for Geography and has recently expanded to cover Travel and Tourism as well. As such it is important for us that such liaison remains.
